My wife of 20+ years has always had a fascination with the color red and with the ruby gemstone. She says red is the color of love and the ruby represents romance. So on our first valentine day as a married couple I bought her a ruby and diamond heart shaped locket set in sterling silver. Since then I have made it a point to buy her a piece of jewelry showcasing a ruby on every valentine day after that.She has a modest collection of pendants,necklaces,bracelets and evenn hair pins set in silver, rose gold white gold and yellow gold.
