This ring was beautiful….for the first 24 hours. The metal turned black within hours of wearing it and I have tried multiple cleaners/polishes (starting with the one from super jeweler). At first, there was just a slight blackening, then over time the entire metal part of the ring is black and looks like something out of a bubble gum machine.
This is the response I got from customer service when I contacted them:
“ Thank you for Contacting us.
I am sorry you feel that way but unfortunately every gold item can tarnish if not taken care properly including 18KT, 14KT & 10KT.
And of course, an item that has 1.4 would tarnish faster than those other versions that have a higher godl percentage since 1 gold karat is 1/24 part, or 4.1667 percent, of the whole, and the purity of a gold alloy is expressed as the number of these parts of gold it contains.
So, we would still not recommend you to expose any jewelry to pool water, sea water or the shower. Chlorine, salt and typical hair products are all corrosive in nature and can accelerate tarnishing and discoloration in metals only 24K and Titanium do not tarnish.”
I was told I would have to return the ring at my own expense to them for a store credit (why would I want credit for more CHEAP CRAP?!?!?)
In other words, be aware of the cheap crappy quality you are purchasing and know that their customer service and return policy sucks. They KNOW they are selling crap and are just looking to stick it to more trusting customers.
Yes, I should’ve done better research and should’ve paid closer attention to their return policy, I never post negative reviews, but for this company-I hope my review helps other buyers to be ware!!!
