The ring is very small as described. I feel comfortable wearing as an adult with other rings on my fingers. As a solitary ring, it may lack impact. The ruby is pinker than shown in the picture-- more like you'd expect than garnet colored. Despite small size, the band seems thick enough to withstand frequent wearing. Overall, I'm satisfied with my purchase. I deducted the one star for pinkness of the ruby.--AliceL.
